7.4V Lithium-Ion Battery Charger

DESCRIPTION

A 7.4V Lithium-Ion Battery Charger is a specialized power management device designed to safely and efficiently charge two-cell (2S) Li-ion or Li-Po battery packs. Because Lithium-Ion chemistry is sensitive to overvoltage and thermal instability, these chargers utilize a precise Constant Current / Constant Voltage (CC/CV) charging algorithm.

Whether used in RC vehicles, medical devices, or portable electronics, a 2S charger ensures that each cell reaches its peak voltage of 4.2V, resulting in a total pack voltage of 8.4V when fully charged.

FEATURES

• Over-Voltage Protection (OVP): Prevents the cells from exceeding 4.2V, which could lead to thermal runaway.
• Short-Circuit Protection: Automatically cuts power if a short is detected in the output.
• Reverse Polarity Protection: Protects the circuitry if the battery is connected incorrectly.
