DESCRIPTION

The Hiwonder miniAuto is an entry-level AI vision robot car built on an Arduino UNO R3 (ATmega328P) controller, designed to take students and makers from basic Arduino programming through to computer vision projects. With 360° omnidirectional mecanum wheels, an ESP32-S3 vision module and a gripper attachment, it is an ideal platform for STEM classrooms, robotics clubs and coding enrichment programmes in Singapore.

Its mecanum drive lets the car move forwards, sideways, diagonally and rotate on the spot, while the 2-megapixel ESP32-S3 vision module streams live video over WiFi and handles colour tracking, face recognition and line following on board.

FEATURES

  • Arduino UNO R3 (ATmega328P) main controller with UNO R3 expansion board, programmable in the official Arduino IDE
  • Four mecanum wheels driven by four TT encoder motors for 360° omnidirectional movement
  • ESP32-S3 vision module with 2-megapixel camera and WiFi video transmission for colour tracking, face recognition and line following
  • Glowy ultrasonic sensor for distance ranging and obstacle avoidance, with programmable coloured light feedback
  • 4-channel infrared line follower for line tracking and crossroad recognition
  • Gripper with LFD-01 anti-blocking servo for picking up and transporting objects, including vision-guided transport
  • Bluetooth 4.0 module for wireless control via iOS/Android app
  • Rigid aluminium alloy bracket and chassis, powered by two rechargeable 18650 lithium batteries

APPLICATIONS

  • Teaching Arduino programming and robotics in primary, secondary and tertiary STEM curricula
  • Learning omnidirectional kinematics with mecanum wheel motion control
  • Introductory AI vision projects such as colour tracking, face recognition and traffic light detection
  • Autonomous navigation challenges including line following, crossroad recognition and obstacle avoidance
  • Pick-and-place and object transport tasks using the gripper
  • Robotics club activities, coding competitions and maker workshops
