DESCRIPTION
Screw terminal blocks are essential PCB connectors used to create secure, reliable wire-to-board connections without soldering directly to wires. Available in 2.54mm (0.1") and 5.08mm (0.2") pitch configurations, and in 2-pin and 3-pin variants, these terminal blocks are widely used in electronics prototyping, industrial control boards, power distribution circuits, and DIY projects.
The 2.54mm pitch version is designed for compact PCB layouts where space is at a premium, making it ideal for signal-level connections and low-current applications. The 5.08mm pitch version accommodates thicker gauge wires, suited for power wiring and higher current loads. Each terminal features a brass contact insert and a slotted screw for tool-tightened clamping, ensuring a low-resistance, vibration-resistant connection.
These terminal blocks mount directly onto a PCB through-hole footprint and can be daisy-chained side by side to expand the number of connections. Commonly used with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other development boards, they are a staple component for makers, engineers, and electronics hobbyists across Singapore.
