DESCRIPTION
The RP-S100L200-SW is a resistive thin film pressure sensor offering exceptional flexibility and stability for precise force detection in a wide range of applications. In its unloaded state, the sensor maintains an open-circuit condition with resistance exceeding 2MΩ. As force is applied, resistance drops proportionally — triggering at just 10g (resistance <200KΩ), falling to approximately 0.5KΩ under 1kg of applied force. This makes it highly responsive to everyday objects: lightweight items such as Bluetooth earphones, pens, lighters or cigarettes (5–30g) reliably trigger the sensor, while heavier objects such as a mobile phone (~200g) bring resistance below 10KΩ, and a water bottle or cup (~300g) below 5KΩ.
The sensor's output resistance varies continuously with external pressure, enabling both threshold-based switching and analogue force profiling within a single compact component.
Construction & Materials
Constructed from a combination of high-mechanical-performance polyester thin film, highly conductive material, and graphene-based pressure-sensitive layers bonded with adhesive material, the RP-S100L200-SW is engineered for durability and consistency. The output interface uses wear-resistant, anti-oxidation contact material compatible with metal spring contacts, pogo pins, or direct soldering — offering flexibility in PCB and connector design.
