LED NeoPixel

NeoPixel is Adafruit's brand name for WS2812B addressable RGB LEDs, where each LED contains its own integrated driver IC allowing individual colour and brightness control over a single data wire. A single microcontroller pin can address a chain of hundreds of LEDs independently.

The range includes NeoPixel strips in 30, 60, and 144 LEDs per metre densities, LED rings in 12, 16, and 24 LED configurations, NeoPixel matrices, and individual addressable LED modules for custom arrangements.

NeoPixel LEDs are used in Arduino and ESP32 ambient lighting projects, wearable fashion electronics, gaming keyboard and PC case lighting, persistence-of-vision wands, costume props, interactive art installations, STEM education colour-mixing demonstrations, and any project requiring individually programmable, full-colour LED output.
