Breakout boards convert small surface-mount ICs and sensors into breadboard- and perfboard-friendly modules with 2.54mm pin headers. They handle the decoupling capacitors, voltage regulation, and level shifting needed to use components that would otherwise require custom PCB design.

The range covers breakouts for a wide variety of ICs: IMUs and motion sensors, environmental and gas sensors, real-time clocks, ADCs and DACs, display controllers, I2C multiplexers, and communication interfaces including UART, SPI, and I2C devices.

Breakout boards are used in Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi projects for rapid sensor integration, prototyping before committing to a custom PCB, STEM education labs, and any situation where a component needs to be evaluated quickly without custom board layout work.
