Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Magnetometer Sensors

Inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors measure acceleration, rotational rate, and magnetic field, providing the data needed to determine orientation, detect motion, and implement balance and navigation algorithms. Combining accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data gives a full 9-degrees-of-freedom motion picture.

The range includes MPU-6050 6-DOF IMU breakouts, MPU-9250 9-DOF modules, GY-521 and GY-87 breakout boards, and high-precision IMUs with onboard sensor fusion for robotics and flight controller applications. All connect via I2C or SPI.

IMU sensors are used in self-balancing robots, drone flight controllers, gesture recognition interfaces, pedometer and step-counting wearables, camera stabilisation gimbals, Arduino and Raspberry Pi orientation tracking, STEM science projects, and any application requiring motion detection or attitude estimation.
