GPS Modules

GPS modules receive signals from the Global Positioning System to determine precise geographic coordinates, speed, altitude, and time. They output standard NMEA sentences via UART, which can be parsed by the microcontroller to extract location data.

The range includes compact GPS modules with integrated ceramic antennas, variants with external antenna connectors for improved signal in enclosures, and modules with additional features such as data logging or dead-reckoning support.

GPS modules are used in asset tracking devices, autonomous vehicles and drones, weather balloon payloads, outdoor IoT sensor nodes, hiking and cycling computers, and STEM projects exploring geolocation, mapping, and navigation algorithms.
