DESCRIPTION
This is version 3 NodeMcu based on ESP-12E. NodeMcu is an open-source firmware and development kit that helps you to prototype your IOT product within a few Lua script lines.
Based on ESP8266, integrates GPIO, PWM, IIC, 1-Wire, and ADC all in one board. Power your development in the fastest way in combination with NodeMcu Firmware! NodeMcu features USB-TTL (plug and play), 10 GPIO (every GPIO can be PWM, I2C, 1-wire), and FCC certified WIFI module (PCB antenna).
The NodeMCU programming model is similar to that of Node.js, only in Lua. It is asynchronous and event-driven. Many functions, therefore, have parameters for callback functions.
The width of NodeMCU is 30mm, which covers the whole breadboard when plugged in so we highly recommend getting the NodeMcu Expansion Board so you can access the pins for prototyping. The NodeMcu Expansion Board comes with many extended header pins for the GPIO and power line.
ARDUINO-LIKE HARDWARE IO
Advanced API for hardware IO, which can dramatically reduce the redundant work for configuring and manipulating hardware. Code like Arduino, but interactively in Lua script.
NODEJS STYLE NETWORK API
Event-driven API for network applications, which facilitates developers writing code running on a 5mm*5mm sized MCU in Nodejs style. Greatly speed up your IOT application development process.
