DESCRIPTION
The heart of this GPS module is the U-blox NEO-6M. It has a 5Hz update frequency with 32k I2C EEPROM for saving configuration data. It comes with an external ceramic antenna which you can attach via the ipx connector.
On board is a 3.3V LDO low noise regulator so you can power this directly from 5V. The module has some neat features such as UART (TTL) port with EMI protection, 3V lithium rechargeable battery, GPS fix indicator LED and reverse polarity protection for input power.
The module uses the standard NMEA protocol with nav rate and timepulse (GPS fix LED) of 1Hz.
This module is compatible with APM2 and APM2.5.
